Mary is explaining the angle relationship of the interior angles of triangles to a coworker. She states that the angles should always add up to 180°. How can Mary prove that this is true? (Hint: Imagine taking the angles and putting them side by side.)

draw a triangle on a piece of paper and then cut it out.

Label the angles a, b and c   Write the letters in the corners.

Now tear the corners off and put them next to each other and you will see that they line up to a straight line

a+b+c=180 degrees  (a straight angle)
