A diver jumps from a platform 15 meters above the surface of the water. The diver's height, in meters, above the water is given by the equation h(t)=-4.9t^2 + 8.5t + 15 where t is the time in seconds after the diver jumps. What is the max height of the diver and how long does it take the diver to reach that height?

Max height occurs at  t = -b/2a      =    -8.5/(2 * -4.9)   = .8673 seconds

Height will be      -4.9(.86732) + 8.5(.8673) + 15 = ........... meters above the water
