Consider the system of equations
        5x + y = 31

3x + 4y = -37

Take your expression for y from part (a), and substitute it into the second equation. Solve for x and y.

Enter your answer as the ordered pair(x,y)

y = 31 - 5x. Sub that into second equation we get 3x + 124 - 20x = -37. -17x = -161, so x = 161/17. Sub that into y = 31 - 5x we get y = 31-5*161/17 = 31 - 805/17 = -278/17.

(161/17, -278/17)
