The larger of two supplementary angles exceeds 7 times the smaller by 4 degrees. Find the measure of the larger angle.
I can't figure this out please help ;-;
Let x be the smaller angle....and we have that...
x + (7x + 4) = 180 simplify
8x + 4 = 180 subtract 4 from both sides
8x = 176 divide both sides by 8
x = 22° = the smaller angle
7(22°) + 4 = 158° = the larger angle
