how would I solve this problem? This is how it is written in my text book, but there is no definition/explanation in the preceding chapters: [(4000)^2)][300]/2x10^-4

[(4000)^2)] [300]/ [2x10^-4]  =

[4 *10^3]^2 * [ 3 * 10^2 ] / [ 2 * 10^-4]  =

[16  * 10^6 ] *  [ 3 * 10^2 ] / [ 2 * 10^-4]   =

[48 * 10^8] / [2 *10^-4]  =

24 *  10^(8 - -4 ] =

24 * 10^12  =

2.4 * 10^13  =   24,000,000,000,000

cool cool cool

Hey CPhil, every time I calculate, I end up getting 2400 for the answer. I am coming up with 4.8x10^7, or 48x10^6 initially, and then after dividing by 2x10^-4, coming up with 2400, or 2.4x10^3. Am I missing something or calculating wrong?
