Bianca needs to paint a logo made using two right triangles. The dimensions of the logo are shown below. What is the difference between the area of the large triangle and the area of the small triangle?
OK.....you do not seem to be learning any of this material.....many of your many questions are very similar and require similar thinking and formulas.....TRY to get an answer THEN ask for help.....
Triangle area = 1/2 base * height You SHOULD be able to answer the question with this bit of info....TRY! You learn NOTHING by only looking for answers!
Well I like how you respond but when I do thesae questions I get confused with what to multiply and what to do okay I will try...
Oh I'm sorry EP I must have been still answering when you wrote this I'm sorry
The area of a triangle is
\(Base * Height * \frac{1}{2}\)
so for the smaller triangle we have
\(2cm * 6cm *\frac{1}{2}\)
equals
6 cm squared
The second triangle is
\(3cm * 7cm * \frac{1}{2}\)
equals
\(10 \frac{1}{2}\)
squared inches and the diffrence is subtracting the smaller traingle from the bigger one whih equals
\(4 \frac{1}{2}\)
Large triangle is
7*3=21
Small is
6*2=12
My struggle is do I 1/2 half eavh and what does difference mean like What is the difference between the area of the large triangle and the area of the small triangle?
You are getting there:
You forgot the 1/2 part triangle area = 1/2* base * height
The difference is 'How much bigger is the larger than the smaller?' DOes that help?
