A certain television is advertised as a 113-inch TV (the diagonal length). If the width of the TV is 112 inches, how many inches tall is the TV?

Pythagorean theorom again

a^2 + b^2 = c^2

Hypotenuse is the diagonal measure of 113

One leg is 112

 a^2 + 112^2 = 113^2

a^2 = 113^2 - 112^2

a = 15 in

Good job, EP! Note that from here, a^2=113^2-112^2, we can just add 113 and 112, because they are consecutive squares. So, a^2=225, a=15 inches.
