Find the distance a between the points C(−6, 5) and D(−3, 1)

\(a^2=(y_c-y_d)^2+(x_c-x_d)^2\)

\(a^2=(5-1)^2+(-6-(-3))^2\)

\(a^2=4^2+(-3)^2=16+9=25\)

\(a=\sqrt {25}\)

\(a=5\)

\(The \ distance \ between \ C \ and \ D \ is \ a= 5\)
