Hi kj,
Only right angled triangles have an hypotenuse.
So, is it a right angled isosceles triangle?

If so, let the two equal sides be y
then you have
y 2 + y 2 = h 2
2y 2 = h 2

Anyway, keep going, get a value for y
Then you can find the area
