An oil spill spreads 25 square meters every 1/6 hour. How much area does the oil spill cover after 2 hours?

I cannot tell you how much area it COVERS, but I can tell you how much it has SPREAD:

25 m2 /  1/6 hr   =  150 m2  / hr

150 m/ hr      *    2 hr   =   300 m2

So we know that it spreads 25 square meters every 1/6 of an hour. That's 10 minutes.

So 25 meters PER 10 minutes.

2 hours = 120 minutes.

120 / 10 = 12.

25 * 12 = 300 meters.
