Max made his own coin. On one side, he colored it blue. On the other side, he colored it red. Let's assume his coin is fair. Each time he tosses it there is a 50/50 chance of either color. If he tosses his coin two times, what is the chance that both tosses will be blue?

The tosses are independent events.....on  each toss he has a probability  of 1/2 of getting either color

So

P(blue) * P(blue)  =   (1/2) * ( 1/2)   =     1/4
