To do this question, differentiate f(x) first.

\(f(x) = 6x^2+x\)

\(\frac{d}{dx}f(x) = f'(x) = 12x + 1\)

\(f'(a) = 12a +1\)

When a = 1,

\(f'(1) = 12(1) + 1 = 13\)
