Suppose P, Q, and R are points in the plane such that PQ = 1.8, PR = 8.2, and angle PQR = 90 degrees. What is the perimeter of angle PQR?

PR is the hypotenuse of a right triangle  and PQ is a leg

So    √ [ PR^2 - PQ^2 ]  = QR  =  √  [ 8.2^2  - 1.8^2 ]  =  √ 64  = 8

So.........the perimeter of PQR  ≈    8.2 +  8  + 1.8  =  18 units
