If you have a sandwich and you dividee it into 4 pieces, each peice is 1/4 of a sandwich
so
1 divided by 4 =1/4
You can actually think of a fraction line and a division sign as the esame thing.
now 0.25 means 25/100 and that simplifies down to 1/4
