when will linda and kathy have the same amount of money, if linda has a equation 1000(1-.02) to the x power and kathy has 1100(1-.02) to the x power ??
They will never have the same amount....to see this
1000(1 - .02)^x = 1100 (1 - .02)^x rearrange as
( 1 - .02)^x / (1 - .02)^x = 1100/1000
The left side simplifies to 1.....but the right side is 11/10
