A fuel tanker weighs 2500 tons when 25% full and 3700 tons when 75% full. What is its weight in tons when empty?

I started by trying to find out how much the tank weighes. I tried subtracting the two to find out what t+2/4*oil equals to. I got stuck after here! What should i do next?

When the tank is 100% full, it weighs 10000 tons.

When the tank is 75% full, it weighs 3700 tons.

When the tank is 50% full, it weighs 5000 tons.

When the tank is 25% full, it weighs 2500 tons.

Here is a hint. Can you take it from here?

T = Tanker(empty)
F =Fuel
[T + 0.25F]=2500.........(1)
[T + 0.75F]=3700.........(2), solve for F, T
F =2400 tons - weight of fuel when Tanker is full.
T =1900 tons - weight of Tanker when empty.

I got the tank is 1900 tons since when its 75% full its 3700 and when its 25% full it weighs 2500 so 3700-2500 is 50% of fuel which is 1200 tons. So 25% would be 600 tons. 2500-600=

1900 tons.

😅😅😅😅
