A  parsec, a unit of length used in astronomy, is 1.9×1013 miles. The mean distance of a certain planet from the sun is 1.7×107 miles. How many parsecs is this planet from the sun?

The planet is approximately ___ parsecs from the sun.

(Use scientific notation. Use the multiplication symbol in the math palette as needed. Round to one decimal place as  needed.)

I keep getting the wrong notation!

Just Divide:

(1.7 x 10^7) / (1.9 x 10^13) =8.947  x  10^-7 parsecs =1/1,117,647 of a parsec.
