1- cos^2 + cos +1 = 0

cos^2 -cos -2 =0      let cos^2 = x^2    use quadratic formula  to find x(or cos x) = 2 or -1     x is cos x and cannot = 2   throw this value out

cos x = -1     at  180 degrees

Can someone else verify this answer??
