Kari has a box with brand new pencils that are all the same size. She has 1 yellow pencil, 5 blue pencils, and 5 red pencils. She will pick two pencils without looking and without replacement.

Write an expression that can be used to determine the probability that Kari will first pick a blue pencil and then a yellow pencil.

Ok I'm not 100% sure about this but here goes:

Since there are 5 blue pencils and 11 total pencils, the probability of picking a blue pencil is 5/11.

Now, without replacement, there is 1 yellow pencil and 10 total pencils. The probability of picking a yellow pencil is 1/10.

The expression is (5/11)(1/10).
