                             2 > - | (x - 8) / 5 + 3/5 |

 - | (x - 8) / 5 + 3/5 | < 2

   | (x - 8) / 5 + 3/5 | > -2

Since an absolute value is always at least zero, there is no value of x that won't work.

The solution is "all real numbers".

   5 < | (3k -1) / 4 |

| (3k -1) / 4 | > 5

Either:  -5  <  (3k -1) / 4     or     (3k -1) / 4  >  5

           -20  <  3k - 1                          3k - 1 > 20

           -19  <  3k                                    3k  >  21

         -19/3 <  k                  or                   k  >  7

The second one isn't correct, how would you enter it?
