Simplify the following:
13/(x+2)-6/(x^2+2 x)

Factor x out of x^2+2 x:
13/(x+2)-6/x (x+2)

Put each term in 13/(x+2)-6/(x (x+2)) over the common denominator x (x+2): 13/(x+2)-6/(x (x+2))  =  (13 x)/(x (x+2))-6/(x (x+2)):
(13 x)/(x (x+2))-6/(x (x+2))

(13 x)/(x (x+2))-6/(x (x+2)) = (13 x-6)/(x (x+2)):
Answer: | (13 x-6)/(x (x+2))
