ABC is a right-angled triangle.
AC = 16 cm
Angle C = 90
size of angle B : size of angle A = 3:2
Work out the length of AB.
First we find angles A and B. The sum of the angles in a triangle is 180 and we know that angle C is 90 so the sum of angles A and B is also 90. Since they are in a ration of B:A = 3:2 then Angle A is 36 and Angle B is 54. The sin of B is 16/AB. We get the equation sin(54)= 16/AB Solving for AB to three significant digits we get 19.8.
