The angles of a triangle are in the ratio 3:4:5.  Find the numerical value of the ratio of the sine of the smallest angle to the sine of the next smallest angle.

3+4+5 =12    180/12=15  so the angles are

3(15)    4(15)   5(15)

45         60        75

 

SMALLEST ANGLE   45    SIN = SQRT2 / 2        NEXT LARGER ANGLE  SIN60 = SQRT3/2

 

RATIO =  SQRT2 /2   :  SQRT 3/2

           = SQRT 2  : SQRT 3
