What is the circumference of the circle with center at P(-2,3) and passing through  Q(10,-2)? Express your answer in terms of pi.

How am i supposed to start with this problem????

Using the distance formula....we can find the radius

 

√ [ (-2 - 10)^2  + ( -2 - 3)^2 ]   =  √ [(-12)^5 + (-5)^2]  = √169 =  13

 

So....the circumference =   2 pi * r   =  2 pi (13)  =  26 pi
