List the factors of 60.

 - 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 12, 15, 20, 30, 60

Then determine what two numbers subtract to equal 7 and multipy to equal 60.

a = 12

b = 5

To find sqrt(a^2 + b^2), substitute the values of a and b like so:

sqrt((12)^2 + (5)^2) =

sqrt(144 + 25) =

sqrt(169) = 13
