All things being equal, the car with the larger diameter tires should last longer.

For example  a car with a tire diameter of 20 inches will make  about   (5280 * 12) / (20 pi)  = 1008 revolutions per mile

A car with a tire diameter of 25 inches will make  about     (5280 * 12) / (25 pi)  =  807 revolutions per mile

Thus....the larger tire is getting less wear and tear per the same distance traveled as the smaller tire.....assuming the same width, the larger tire gets about  807 / 1008  =  80% of the wear of the smaller tire......
