what is "110 1/4 + (-50 1/2)"????
Is your post showing 110 1/4 as a mixed number, or are you trying to say 110 multiplied by 1/4.
I'm going to assume the former.
110 1/4 = 110.25
-50 1/2 = -50.5
110.25 - 50.5 = 59.75
