A, B, and C are collinear, and B is between A and C. The ratio of AB to BC is 3 : 1.
If A is at (-7,3) and B is at (-1,0), what are the coordinates of point C?

Note that  BC  = (1/3)AB

We have that  C  =

[ -1  +  (1/3) ( -1  - - 7)  ,  0  + (1/3)( 0 - 3)  ]

[ -1 + (1/3)(6)  ,  0 + ( 1/3)(-3)  ]

[ -1 + 2 , 0 - 1]

( 1, - 1)
