Given: n + 7 + n + 2n - 12 + 3n + 4

3n + 2n + n + n - 12 + 7 + 4

Step 2: Combine like terms

3n + 2n + n + n = 7n

7 + 4 - 12 = -1

n+7+n+2n-12+3n+4  Solve for n? or symplfy?

commutative property of addition states that you can rearrage the problem

n+n+3n+2n-12+7+4

Combine like terms

7n-23 If you were symplying you would stop here.

If not you solve for n

7n-23=0

7n=23

n=23/7

hope this helps!! :D
