Midpoint of first segment  =  ( [2 + 0] /2, [4 - 2] / 2 )  = ( 1, 1)

Midpoin of the second segment  =  ( [ 5 + 1] / 2, [1 + 5] / 2 )  =  (3, 3)

Slope  =  [ 3 - 1 ] / [ 3 - 1 ]  =  2 / 2  =   1
