The volume of a rectangular prism is 960 cubic inches. If the dimensions of the base are doubled and the height remains the same to create a new prism, what will be the volume of the new rectangular prism in cubic inches?

Since the dimension of the base are doubling, or going up by 2, then the area will go up by a facor of: 2^2=4 times. And since the height remains the same, then the volume of the recangular prizm will also go up by a factor of 4.

Therefore 960 cubic inches X 4=3,840 cubic inches.
