Stephanie rode her new moped to Rod's house. Traveling the side streets, she avaraged 20 mph. To save time on the return trip, they loaded the bike into Robs truck and took the freeway, averaging 50 mph. The freeway distance is 2 miles less than the distance on the side streets n save 24 minutes. Find the distance traveled on the return trip

Let the distance she travelled on side streets =D
D/20 =time it took her to get to Rob's house.
D - 2 =The highway distance.
(D - 2) / 50 = D/20 - 4/10, solve for D
D = 12 miles - the distance Stephanie travelled on side streets.
12 - 2 = 10 miles - The highway distance that Rob travelled.
