help!

x^2 + x - 6 > 0

(x-2)(x+3) >0     now you can see where BOTH factorsare negative it will be > 0    or if they are both negative it will be >0

 

x-2 is negative for x < 2       and positive for    x >2

x+3 is negative for x <3       and positive for    x > -3

            x< -3                                  x>2

 

-3>x>2
