There is a line that includes the point (-8, 1) and has a slope of -1/8. What is it’s equation in slope-intercept form?

(x,y)=(-8,1)

m=-1/8

y-y1=m(x-x1)

y-1=(-1/8)(x-(-8))

y-1=(-1/8)(x+8)

Hello alrawshdeh04,

Although your answer is completely correct, the question asked "Slope-Intercept form"

\(y=mx+b\)

\(y=(-\frac{1}{8})(x+8)+1\)

\(y=-\frac{1}{8}x\)
