since he works for 3 hours, he gets 3*6= \$18

he also delivers 30 newspapers per hour, and since he works 3 hours, he delivers 90 newspapers in total. 90*0.25=\$22.5

\$18+\$22.5=\$40.50

lets first get the total for one hour.

We know that he get paid \$6 an hour along with this he gets 0.25 per newspaper delivered meaning the equation would be

Total earning in hour = 0.25n + 6

since we know that he runs 30 newspapers in an hour we can add it into our equation

Total earning in hour = 0.25(30) + 6

now doing some simple math we know that 0.25 times 30 is equal to 7.5

making our equation look like this

Total earning in hour = 7.5 + 6

then add those together to get

Total earning in hour = 13.5

Therefore he gets \$13.5 every hour

finally we know he works three hours meaning it would look like this

3 x 13.5

which equals 40.5

therefore he earns \$40.5 every in three hours
