if 3t - 7 = 5t then 6t = what?

3t - 7  = 5t         subtract 3t from both sides

-7  = 2t           divide both sides by 2

-7/2  =  t   = -7/2

So...6t =   6(-7/2)  = -42 / 2    = -21

3t-7=5t

Subtract 3t from both sides

2t=-7

Divide by 2

t=-3.5
