A pilot wants to fly on a bearing of 68.9°. By flying due east, she finds that a 50.2-mph wind, blowing from the south, puts her on course. Find the airspeed and the groundspeed of the plane

Well let's say she flies for ONE hour.....then she should be 50.2 miles north and 1 hour's mph east

Bearing 68.9 is actually 21.1 in our usual coordinate 'plane'   (haha)

tan 21.1 = 50.2 / mph        mph = 130 mph
