I cant think of how to do this question so some help would be apriciated
What number can be placed in the box, so that the resulting quadratic expression is the square of a binomial? \(x^2 + 22x + \boxed{\phantom{000}}\)
Take 1/2 of 22 = 11
Square this = 11^2 = 121
That's what goes into the box
Proof
(x + 11)^2 =
(x + 11) ( x + 11) =
x^2 + 22x + 121
Wow! I never thought of doing that!
