Let \(f(x) = 3\sqrt{2x - 7} - 8\). Find \(f(8)\).
I also want to know how to do these type of problems (Let f(x) = blah blah, find f(2), that type of thing)
f(8) means that we just sub 8 in for x and evaluate
3* sqrt [ 2(8) - 7 ] - 8 =
3* sqrt [ 16 - 7 ] - 8
3* sqrt [ 9 ] - 8
3 *( 3) - 8 =
9 - 8 =
1
So f(8) = 1
Not too tricky,huh ????
Nope. Thank you CPhill!
