For the second one you could try plugging in the numbers to make them = each other on both sides. I'll use the right answer just to show how to do this type of problem. D is the correct answer.
2*0.29^2-3*0.29+4=0.29+3
Solve these with pemdas.
Solve for the right side first: 0.29+3=3.29
Then: 0.29^2=0.0841 let's plug the numbers in after every time we solve something.
2*0.0841-3*0.29+4=3.29
2*0.0841=0.1682
We have: 0.1682-3*0.29+4=3.29
Multiply 3*0.29=0.87
0.1682-0.87+4=3.29
Now we subtract 0.87 from 0.1682 and then add 4= 3.2982 (round) and your answer is..
3.29=3.29
Try it with 1.71!
