Four positive integers A, B, C and D have a sum of 36. If A + 2 = B – 2 = C × 2 = D ÷ 2, what is the value of the product A × B × C × D?

hi guest!

so first we can express everything in terms of A.

A=A

A+2=B-2, B=A+4

A+2=2C, C=A/2+1

A+2=D/2, D=2A+4

So, we can now add this all up.

A+A+4+A/2+1+2A+4=36

4.5A+9=36

4.5A=27

A=6

Now, we can find the values of B, C, and D.

A=6

B=10

C=4

D=16

\(6 \cdot 10 \cdot 4 \cdot 16= \boxed{3840}\)

I hope this helped you!
