cos^2(-120°) what are u suposted to do here ?

Cosine of a negative angle is same as that of positive angle.

So, cos^2(-120) is cos^2(120).

Cos(120)= Cos(180-60)=-Cos 60=-1/2

Square of which will be 1/4.
