Think of it this way. You pick any spot, and you have 2 points to either sides that are 1 unit away.

thus we have 7-2 /7 = 5/7 probability

Here’s something I don’t understand: 7-2 /7 = 47/7 not 5/7

i think what hugo meant was $$\dfrac{7-2}{7}=\dfrac{5}{7}\text{ probability}$$
