In triangle ABC, the measure of angle B is three times the measure of angle A. The measure of angle C is 23 degrees less than the measure of angle B. What is the measure of each angle?
Let angle A = x
Let angle B = 3x
Let angle C = 3x - 23
And the sum of these =180
So
x + 3x + ( 3x - 23) =180 simplify
7x - 23 = 180 add 23 to both sides
7x = 203 divide both sides by 7
x = 29° = angle A
3(29) = 87° = angle B
3(29) - 23 = 64° = angle C
