What is the volume of a cylinder with base area 64 pi cm^2 and a height equal to twice the radius?

the area for a circle, or the base of a cylinder, is π * r^2. Since we have 64π = r^2 π, 64 = r^2, r= sqrt(64) = 8. 

 

twice the radius = 8*2 = 16. 16 times 64π = 1024π.
