The three consecutive terms of a G.p are the second third and sixth terms of A.p. find the common ratio of the G.p.​  (G.p = geometric progression, A.p = arithmetic progression)

If you take these terms as your geometric progression:       2, 6, 18                       [a = 2, r = 3]

and you take these terms as your arithmetic progression:  -2, 2, 6, 10, 14, 18      [a = -2, d = 4]

then the 2nd, 3rd, and 6th terms of the arithmetic progression are the three consecutive terms of the geometric progression.
