Luigi plans to a*s an awning shaped like a sector of a circle to his restaurant, as shown by the shaded part of the sketch. He needs to tell the awning company the number of square yards of canvas needed for the awning.

The AREA of a FULL CIRCLE is  pi r^2    (r=radius = 36 feet in this question)

THIS area is a FRACTION of 360 degrees (FULL circle)  Specifically  120/360 fraction of a full circle

so the area needed is  120/360 pi (36)^2 = 1357.16 sq FEET

there are  3x 3 = 9 sq feet in EACH sq YARD

1357.16/9 = 150.8 sq yards
