40C2 it is in how many combinations you can choose 2 tickets but you need permitation here \(\frac{2}{40P2}=\frac{2}{1560}=\frac1{780}\)

So you have a 1/20 chance to win one prize, with 2 tickets and 1/40 chance to win one prize with one ticket

Using that same chance, you will have 2/80 or 1/40 chance of winning both with 2 tickets.

the probability of winning on the first ticket is \(2\over 40\)

the probability of wining on the second one is \({2-(1) \over 40-(1)}={1\over39}\)

the probabiity of winning on the both is \(\frac{2}{40}\times\frac{1}{39}=\frac{1}{780}=0.00128205\dots\)

The probability is: 40C2=780, or 1 in 780.

Good work Solveit and guest.

It is good that you had a go SpawnofAngel.   Probability questions are always tricky :)
