We have the points  ( -4, 0)  and ( 0, 2)

And the slope of this line =

[  2 - 0 ] / [ 0 - -4]  =  2/4   = 1/2

And we have

y  = (1/2)(x - -4)

y  = (1/2)(x + 4)

y = (1/2)x + 2
