Suggestion:  multiply out the divisor:  (x + 3)(x + 5)  =  x2 + 8x + 15

Then use long-division to divide  x3 + 3x2 - x - 2  by  x2 + 8x + 15

[Your remainder will have both an x-term and a constant in it.]
